List of the most Worthless Terms in IT

In the context of this article the worthlessness is defined as a lack of limits. For example, if the words "horse", "lion", "wolf", "red-head", "granny", "snow-white", "prince", were all replaced with the word "animal", then what would the stories be like? "Wolf ate a lamb" would become: "An animal ate an animal". "A dog chased a cat, who chased a mouse" would become: "An animal chased an animal, who chased an animal". If nouns and verbs are all replaced with a word "blah", then the "Wolf ate a lamb" would become: "Blah blah a blah". Informative?

So, here it comes, in no particular order:

Cloud Service --- a solution, where whole virtual machines are started up, is collided with jail/Solaris-zone based solutions and with solutions, where a web hosting vendor offers some API to an application that takes a whole datacenter to run.

Mode-View-Controller Design Pattern --- the number of ways to implement it almost begs for the cliché that a good thing about standards is that there are so many to choose from.

To be continued, whenever one feels like it.
